My client one of the strongest European banks has an active headcount for an Associate level carbon originator in Hong Kong.
The bank have recruited two well respected directors in carbon banking in Asia and are now looking to add a more junior position to the desk.

Role will involve the following responsibilities:
-Actively meeting mid cap/large cap clients and sourcing, originating, and negotiation of carbon deals with clients,
-Developing the banks name in the carbon fields and increasing the distribution of products among Greater China client base,
-Working on the marketing of these goods and execution of deals with the sales team.
 
Successful candidate for this sought after position must possess the following criteria:
-Proven track record in facing corporate clients-pitching business, originating deals and exposure to pitch books, due diligence, credit analysis of deals,
-A good understanding of the carbon market and ideally exposure to the structuring, pricing and marketing of carbon products,
I-deally exposure to the Asian market Or South Asian market as the deal flow and products are unique to this area and local languages such as Mandarin, -Chinese or Taiwanese would be a real advantage but not essential,
-Anyone with negotiation of erpa's, and who could bring established contacts to the table would be very attractive,
-High standard of academics and ideally Msc education in finance/ Maths/physics or engineering is desirable,
-Enthusiasm to work in Asia.
My client would consider quant or sales candidates if they are keen to more in a front office structuring position but only if they are working within the carbon market
